The definition of thermal insulation
Thermal insulation usually refers to the use of appropriate insulation materials and design adaptations for buildings to slow the transfer of heat through the enclosure to reduce heat loss and gain.
Insulation reduces unwanted heat loss or gain and can decrease the energy demands of heating and cooling systems.
Roof thermal insulation is applied between the roof trusses and the roof covering. Different types of insulation is required for each different type of roof, ie: a cement tiles roof will require a different type compared to a metal sheeted roof. Industrial buildings also require its own unique product.
